What this site collects, why, and what you can do about it.

Who this is
This website is operated by Meaningful HOPE, Inc. (“Meaningful HOPE,” “I,” or “me”), based in Rhode Island, United States. Questions about anything on this page can go to [email protected].
The short version
I collect very little. If you join the mailing list, I have your name and email address. If you email me or book a call, I have whatever you sent. The site uses Meta’s advertising tracker and standard web hosting logs. I do not sell your information to anyone, and I never will.
What is collected
Information you give me
- Mailing list sign-ups. Your first name and email address, handled by Flodesk.
- Emails you send me. Your address and whatever you write.
- Consultation bookings. If you book a call, Calendly collects your name, email, and any details you add.
Information collected automatically
- Hosting logs. This site is hosted on Cloudflare, which records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time of visit.
- Meta pixel. A small piece of code from Meta (Facebook and Instagram) records that a visit happened and which pages were viewed. It helps me understand whether advertising is working and lets me show ads to people who have visited before.
I do not collect payment information on this website.
Cookies and tracking
The Meta pixel uses cookies. So may Cloudflare, for security and performance.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can limit Meta’s ad tracking in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences. The site works fine without them.
How information is used
- To send the emails you asked for — continuing education dates, new tools, and occasional writing for practitioners
- To reply to you
- To schedule and deliver consultation, training, and speaking engagements
- To understand which pages people find useful
- To measure and improve advertising
I will not send you marketing you did not ask for, and every email includes an unsubscribe link that works.
Who else handles your information
A handful of services process information on my behalf. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Flodesk — mailing list and email delivery
- Cloudflare — website hosting and security
- Meta Platforms — advertising measurement
- Calendly — consultation scheduling
- Microsoft — email
I do not sell your personal information, and I do not share it with anyone for their own marketing purposes. Information may be disclosed if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of others.
How long information is kept
Mailing list information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it. Correspondence is kept as long as needed for the matter it relates to, and for reasonable business records afterward. Hosting logs are kept on the schedules set by Cloudflare.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of any email
- Ask what I hold about you, and I will tell you
- Ask me to correct or delete it, and I will, unless I am legally required to keep it
- Turn off cookies in your browser
Email [email protected] for any of these.
If you are in California
California residents have rights under the CCPA and CPRA to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. I do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it. Email me to make a request.
If you are in the EU or UK
You have rights under the GDPR to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to receive a copy of it. Where I rely on consent — for the mailing list and for advertising cookies — you may withdraw it at any time. Email me to make a request.
Children
This site is for practitioners, organizations, and parents. It is not directed to children, and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given me information, email me and I will delete it.
Security
The site runs over an encrypted connection, and the services listed above maintain their own security practices. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top. Material changes will be noted to the mailing list.
